Hamilton Gardens

I went to Hamilton Gardens after school yesterday.

There were many kinds of gardens.

For example, England garden, Chinese garden and so on.

There was also the Japanese garden.

I thought Indian garden is most beautiful.

I searched how to go to Hamilton gardens during lunch time and thought that I might go to Hamilton gardens on foot.

So I walked to Hamilton gardens.

It took me more than thirty minutes.

After I enjoyed Hamilton gardens, I walked to the host family's house.

It took me more than an hour.

So I was very tired yesterday.

I want to buy some souvenirs for my friends in Japan.

What is good for souvenir?

Interview video

I took the interview video after school yesterday.

I asked some questions to Michel.  He is my host father.

While we were taking the video, I asked his recommended place in Hamilton to him.

That is Hamilton Gardens.

Some of my friends have already been to Hamilton Gardens.

They said Hamilton Gardens was very beautiful place.

Michel said I should go to Hamilton Gardens.

If I have free time before I go back to Japan, I want to go to Hamilton Gardens.

I was able to took a picture of pet dog in host family’s house.

He may bite me.

So host mother told me not to touch him.

HOBBITON

Today I went to Hobbiton Movie Set with all Aizu university students.





This place is where the movie Hobbiton took place.




We need to book the Hobbiton Movie Set tour ticket because we cannot go to Hobbiton Movie Set in private.











There were a lot of small houses.



















There were also rich natural environment.











After the tour we had free time for about 10 minutes at the house near the lake.



We could drink juice for free. But it tasted very bad.
















We have only a week for staying in New Zealand.




I have many things I want.


I have many things I have to do.






I will be busy next week.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves

I went to Waitomo Glowworm Caves with my friend yesterday.

My friend booked our bus ticket and admission ticket of Waitomo Glowworm Caves.

I am very thankful to him!

We actually booked one more cave. That is Ruakuri Cave.

We could not ride on the bus on time and the bus started.

So we had no time to go Ruakuri Cave.

We thought it is difficult to outing in a foreign land.

If I go abroad again, I have to be careful in this thing.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves is very beautiful!!

We had a good day!!

ZOO

I went to Hamilton Zoo with my friend after school on March 16th.

There were many kinds of animals in Hamilton Zoo.

But there were not koalas.   There were not  being alpacas at that time.

I heard tat there are usually some alpacas. 

I felt a bit sad.

There were a lot of pigs!  I like pigs very much.

Their tail is so cute!

There were some kinds of animals that we could not see at that day.

What’s happen?

Volunteer

I worked as a teacher again on Mar 15th.

I was going to teach in 3rd grade class. But there were only a few Japanese who wanted to assist teacher in  Japanese class.

 So all Japanese students had to teach 2nd grade students.

Waikato students studied communication at that day.

All Japanese students made pair with Waikato students.

I talked with a girl who is from Taiwan.

I heard about her recommend place in Taiwan from her.

That place is the motif of Japanese movie Sento Chihiro.

I want to go to that place.

If I have free time, I want to go to Taiwan next summer!

The Base

After school, I went to The Base with my friends.


This is a large shopping mall.





I thought that there would be a lot of people. But it was rainy today. There were not many people.




I ate Japanese food there.





After that, we went to many kinds of stores.

I have to buy many souvenirs.



There were a lot of good things for souvenirs.



Everything looked so good. So I couldn't decide what to buy.













This is off the topic, but it was such beautiful weather last Friday.




It is getting cold recently.


I have only shoot sleeves. So I feel chilly.

Auckland

I went to Auckland with my friend today.

We booked bus ticket by ourselves. 

We didn't decide to participate the sightseeing tour of Auckland. It is very expensive for us.








First, we went to Sky Tower. The hight of Sky Tower is 328 meters. It is as high as Tokyo Tower in Japan.

We ate breakfast at Sky Cafe in Sky Tower.











Next, we went to Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE aquarium.


There are many kind of sea creatures.














We could see Sky Tower near  Kelly Tarlton's SEA LIFE aquarium.












Last, we went to Auckland Domain.









I am very very tired....





I want to sleep soon....

Volunteer

Today, I worked as a volunteer after my school.




 There is Japanese department in Waikato University. Many students study Japanese there.


But theater cannot assist all students well. So the teacher asked Japanese students to assist his class and I decided to assist the class.





I chose the 2nd grade class.


There are many student.

I taught Japanese to one Taiwanese girl and two New Zealanders.
First, they studied Japanese grammar. Second, speaking. Last, free talk.



I enjoyed free talk very much!
We talked sometimes in Japanese and at other times in English.

Many students know about Japan well and like Japanese culture.

Especially we had a lively conversation about Japanese anime.




There will be next Japanese class in Mar 15th.  So after that class, I decided to participate again and apply.






I work as a teacher  for the first time today. It was very fun!!


I had a good day.

Today is Mar 7th and it is host father, Mike's birthday!

I didn't know about it before host daughter started to sing. But I know that song So I can understood easily.


After we ate dinner as usual, we ate a banana cake. It is very delicious!








Hmm, this is very low quality.  I'll be careful from now on.

This is the picture of host family's pet dog. He is a very friendly dog.






There is one more pet dog, but he had already sleeping. So I can't took pictures.


He is small and I will take his picture soon.

I arrived NewZealand yesterday, 3 Mar!

I arrived NewZealand yesterday, 3 Mar!

It is very hot in NewZealand. It is quit different from Aizuwakamatsu city. 

There were a lot of foreign people around me whenever I go. I was worried about whether I can do well with host family.  

As the house got closer, anxiety grows bigger.

When I arrived host family's house, some of the host family members were already waiting for me in front of the house and smile at me. 

I could relax my tension with their smile! Now, I enjoy talking with them.

Some of host family members are not back home yet. I would like to take pictures with all family members. So there is not any picture yet.

Instead of the pictures with family members, please enjoy the pictures taken by my parent's house.

These are my dog and a stray cat.
